These years are some of the most important years of your life. Your in a intense transition period in which both your body and mind are changing at a rapid rate to bring you from child to adult. It’s a time that should fill you with anticipation, hopes, dreams and knowledge to carry with you into your future. There is so much going on, school, dating, sports, hobbies, dances, friends and college plans, that it hardly seems room for anything else. Sometimes some very important issues get lost in the shuffle of our teen life. Health is probably the number one most overlooked issue in the teen psyche. Your not experiencing any major health problems so why worry, right? Wrong, it would do teens a great deal of good to mind their health now instead of waiting till the health problems arise later on in life. I know, your feeling like the world is your canvas and you are invincible, ready to conquer it and paint it how ever you would like. Well, you might feel invincible and ready to conquer but without your good health you may just find that the world may conquer you. So with that said, repeat after me…..”I am not invincible”!!! Health troubles can strike at any time, to anyone, anywhere, it is best for you as an adolescent to develop healthy habits now. The habits you set for yourself today will follow you for years to come and will literally map out your future.
