The Lionel R. John Health Center is located on the Allegany
Territory in the City of Salamanca.
This Health Center offers a variety of services and also serves
as a base for Administrative offices. |

| Here at the this location we offer medical services such as:
preventive care; general examinations; check-ups; screening
programs; chronic disease monitoring; lab services; x-ray services, pediatrics;
prenatal care; well child care; immunizations; obstetrics;
gynecology; audiology; podiatry; orthotics; pharmacy services;
optical; and dental care. |

| We will soon be including Physical Therapy
to our services in the near future. Our mission at the Lionel R. John Health Center is
to enhance the overall health of the Native
American communities we serve by providing a comprehensive range of
health services that
address the holistic well being of each individual. The Seneca
Nation of Indians prescribes to
the belief that attaining a productive and satisfying life can be
best assisted through the provision of well conceived and
coordinated health services. Services that adhere to the
philosophy that physical, mental, social and spiritual needs are
complementary. |

We currently have four full time medical providers and nine nurses
that provide our patients with the majority of the services
available through our medical unit. This unit focus' on chronic disease monitoring, checks-ups,
examinations, sick and well visits, screenings, immunizations and
general preventive care. |

| We also have limited laboratory services available
onsite, requested labs that are beyond our capability are sent to
Quest Diagnostics for processing. |

We now offer fulltime, on-site Gynecological and Prenatal services that are provided by our Medical Director, Michael Kalsman. Other specialty services are offered on-site by contracted part-time
providers. |

Pediatrics is offered on-site twice a week by Dr. Thandla who
has offices located in Salamanca and Olean. Our Podiatry services are provided
by Dr. Vona of Lakeshore. Joseph Gullo of Universal Audiology/Hearing
center in Dunkirk, New York provides Audiology services for
our patients once a month. David Carbone of Western New York
Orthotics is also on-site once a month to provide patients with
orthotic services. |

Our focus is on prevention and education of oral health, and also offer comprehensive dental care to eligible patients of all ages. We strive to decrease the incidence of oral decay by educating patients of their role in their oral health and providing preventive services. Some of the comprehensive services we offer include cleanings, examinations, fillings, crowns, root canals, extractions, bridges, dentures, partials, sealants and referrals for needed oral surgery.

Our Optical Departments provide our patients with ophthalmology and
optometry services that include a special
diabetic protocol. The Salamanca site, has doctors serving patients on
Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, with their business hours of
Monday-Friday from 7:30AM-6:00PM. Any procedures not
offered on site, are made available through a referral system to
Ophthalmology Professionals who will take care of our patients needs.
Our Opticals offer a wide variety of eyeglass frames to choose from ranging
from “free” and higher with copayment. Some of the frame lines offered
consists of Jessica McClintock, BCBG Maxazria, Ellen Tracy, Cole Haan, Izod,
OP, Junction City and Koodles. Our Cattaraugus site also stocks Prada, Dolce
& Gabbana, and Rayban by Luxottica Frame Group. Both sites carry basic
lenses offered at no cost to the patient, as well as all of the popular “add
on’s” that people demand in the high tech world we live in. These “add on’s”,
such as Transitions, Progressives, Thin & Lite materials, Polaroid filters,
mirror coatings, anti reflective coatings, uv filters, and tinting are
available with co-payment. Our method of payment range from cash, debit
cards, MasterCard and visa, and is required before ordering can take place,
with glasses arriving in the clinics from 7-14 days.Staffing: Salamanca

Our on-site Pharmacy is available to all our patients at no cost.
Our Pharmacists and Technicians not only fill the prescriptions but
they also provide counseling and education services to our patients
concerning their medication. |
