The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) will provide full-time professional services to the Seneca Nation. The CEO will develop, plan, direct, and manage the services, policies, and activities of the Seneca Nation Health System (SNHS) and related public health services by performing the following duties personally or by building and managing effective team to assure quality health services. The CEO will have dual reporting responsibilities to both the Seneca Nation Health Board and the Seneca Nation Council.
Master’s degree or higher in health services administration/or other health-related area from an accredited academic institution and seven (7) years of broad based health, patient care delivery or related experience, five (5) years of which must be at the senior management level in health services; a minimum of three (3) years’ experience related to Indian Health Services contracting. Experience in leading a health care delivery system with significant knowledge and understanding of clinical practice trends, various models for care delivery, technological changes, processes and assessments, protocols/standards of care to maximize outcomes and minimize costs. Experience that demonstrates knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resource modeling, leadership technique, production methods, fiscal competency, and coordination of people and resources. Experience effectively and creatively addressing regulatory, economic and labor challenges within the healthcare industry. Experience in grant application, administration, and compliance including service-based, infrastructure-based, and research-based grants.
Allegany Territory - Salamanca, NY
Conducts psychosocial assessment of patients and families upon patient self-referral, or CIRHC referral to medical social work. When assessment determines the need, provides crisis intervention or counsels patient/family on a short-term basis. Prioritizes needs, offers options and provides information and resources. Promotes self-help empowering patients and families to seek and maintain further treatment or assistance. Participates at micro, mezzo, and macro levels to ensure that an optimal level of care is provided to the population served by the CIRHC.
Masters degree from an accredited school of social work. Experience and credentials relevant to the health care industry.
Member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and adheres to the NASW’s ethics, values, continuing education requirements, and practice guidelines (specific to medical social work).
