Job Description:

Provides health information and support services to the Seneca Nation Health System for the delivery of patient care and associated healthcare services.  Ensures the integrity of the electronic medical record and monitors documentation.  Processes requests for protected health information (PHI) according to accepted privacy and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.   Reports directly to the Health Information Manager.


High School Graduate or equivalent.  Completion of an Associate’s Degree in Health Information Technology highly desired, with at least two years experience in a health information management department.  Must be knowledgeable in medical terminology, medico-legal processes, anatomy and physiology, and release of information.  Must have thorough knowledge of computer software and electronic medical records programs.


Patient Benefits Specialist (1FT)

Job Description:

Ensures maximum utilization of alternate resources and other cost avoidance practices for the Contract Health Services Program. Maintains related file and ensures confidentiality according to the Privacy Act of 1974. Reports directly to Patient Benefits Coordinator.


High school graduate or Equivalent with at least two years experience in a medical or social services setting. Must be knowledgeable in health insurance, applications, medical terminology, and public relations. Experience using computer systems and word processing software organizational skills are necessary. Good communication skills, both oral and written, are essential.

Job Description:

Under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer, the Staff Physician is responsible for medical consultation, advice and treatment of all patients of the Seneca Nation Health System.


Graduation from an accredited medical school, MD or DO, with board certification in area of specialization and current license to practice medicine in the State of New York. Must have a minimum of 3 years experience in a clinical setting with knowledge of quality assurance/continuous quality improvement, risk management and peer review practices.


Clinical Care Coordinator (1FT)

Job Description:

Conducts psychosocial assessment of patients and families upon receiving a referral to Medical Social Work. Establishes goals to assist patients in dealing with unmet medical needs and identify problems. When needed provides crisis intervention to patient and family with appropriate linkage to services. Empowers patients and families to discuss with their medical providers issues that may affect health and wellness. Oversees other clinical care coordinators and patient advocates


Master’s Degree from an accredited school of social work or related field. New York State current and unrestricted license at a LMSW level. Valid NYS driver’s license and the ability to drive a Seneca Nation vehicle. Excellent oral and written communications skills including public speaking. Highly organized, with the ability to develop organizational tools and track data. Excellent computer skills including word processing, email, internet, spreadsheet and database usage
