Clinical Nurse Supervisor

Job Description: The incumbent will be responsible for the daily supervision of the nursing, laboratory, and medical office/scheduling staff, including all relative administration duties. Supervises and coordinates activities of staff under supervision to ensure that patients receive proper nursing care; laboratory services and that providers’ orders are executed. Coordinates, completes and integrates quality assurance, risk management and reporting duties to assure compliance with federal/state, JACHO, tribal and local health care regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing, NY State R.N. License and minimum of two years nursing supervisory experience. Background related to quality improvement activities required. Strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated, knowledgeable; must be capable of learning, interpreting and applying regulatory agency specifications and changes for compliance.


Environmental Services Attendant (1FT)

Salary: $11.22/hr.

Job Description

Under the direction of the (Assistant) Facilities Manager the incumbent performs a variety of cleaning and service tasks to maintain the health centers in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition.


High School Diploma or equivalent. Six (6) months of previous healthcare or other industrial cleaning experience preferred.

Job Description

Provides professional care for assigned patients in medical clinic, according to established standards and practices. Reports directly to Clinical Nurse Supervisor.


Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse Program, current New York State license and 2 years of clinical nursing experience. REQUIRED ABILITIES: Able to perform required duties with limited supervisor. Appropriate communication skills.

Job Description

The incumbent’s responsibilities will be to verify and maintain current demographic and insurance information of patients seen at the facility. Must also be familiar with all services offered by the SNHD and be able to direct patients to the proper department or person for assistance.


High school graduate or commercial school graduate with a minimum of 2 years experience in Customer Relations. Experience with word processing software. Must have data entry skills. Must be familiar with the medical billing process.

Certified Coder (1 FT)

Job Description:

The incumbent performs highly technical and specialized functions for Health Information Management of the Seneca Nation Health System in the Allegany and Cattaraugus health centers. The employee reviews, analyzes, and codes diagnostic and procedural information that determines Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance payments. The coding function is a primary source for data and information used in health care today, and promotes provider/patient continuity, accurate database information, and the ability to optimize reimbursement. The coding function also ensures compliance with established coding guidelines, third party reimbursement policies, regulations and accreditation guidelines.


Completion of an Associate’s Degree in Health Information Technology, Medical Administrative Assistant, or related field. Minimum of two years of coding experience using ICD-9-CM and CPT-4 is required. Knowledge of ICD-10 is preferred. Current RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P or CPC certification is required. The incumbent is required to maintain certification.


Exercise Specialist (1 FT)

Job Description

Work will be found in health promotion and fitness development in an ambulatory care setting. Implementation of exercise prescription for health related fitness will be a strong emphasis of the position. Duties to include client screening and fitness assessment following ACSM Guidelines.


Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science Program, Master’s Degree preferred. Must be CPR certified, Fist Aid Certification desirable. Ability to perform EKG testing and interpretation. Skill in stress testing desirable. Must be knowledgeable in the basic aspects of the acute and chronic effects of exercise on all major organ systems and the basic prescription of exercise.
