Director of Nursing (1 FT)

Job Description:
The Director of Nursing will be responsible for the daily supervision of the nursing, laboratory, medical, radiology and referral staff, including all relative administration duties. The Director of Nursing will supervise and coordinate activities of the staff to ensure that the patients receive proper care and that the provider’s orders are executed appropriately. Will coordinate, complete and integrate quality assurance, risk management and reporting duties. Reports directly to the Medical Services Director

Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Must have a current New York State Registered Nurse license. Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience and two (2) years supervisory experience required. Background related to quality improvement activities required. Strong interpersonal skills and self-motivation required. Must be able to interact with providers, nurses, other staff, patients and family members.

Family Peer Advocate

Job Description

The Family Peer Advocate will be responsible for developing and implementing programming to assist family members and friends that have direct relationships with people struggling with substance use. The incumbent will be required to create groups and work with family members in one-on-one situations. They will provide support and encourage family members to seek support from the community support groups such as Al-Anon. They will also assist in referrals to Seneca Nation Behavioral Health or outside counseling agencies. The Family Peer Advocate will report directly to the Seneca Strong Coordinator.

Qualifications

The incumbent must possess a High School Diploma or Equivalent. Must have knowledge (experiential or educational) of substance abuse and its effects on families. Must have excellent communication and organizational skills. Willing to become credentialed as a Family Peer Advocate Professional. Computer knowledge of Microsoft applications. Be able to exhibit compassion and have a desire to help those in need. Maintain confidentiality in the workplace.

Pharmacy Technician (1FT)

Job Description

Assists the Pharmacist in a variety of support functions, which are allowable for non-professionals in providing pharmacy services. Reports directly to Supervising Pharmacist.

Qualifications

Associate’s Degree in Arts/Science; Pharmacy Technician. Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) required. Obtain annual CE requirements to maintain certification. Three (3) or more years’ experience. Clerical and computer skills and medical terminology essential.

Receptionist (FT)

Responsible for reception, answering telephone and specified clerical functions. Reports directly to Health Services Administrator.

Qualifications

High School graduate or equivalent. Six months to one-year experience. Pleasant personality and telephone skills. Public relations capability. Must have computer and typing skills.

Clinical Care Coordinator (1FT)

Job Description

Conducts psychosocial assessment of patients and families upon receiving a referral to Medical Social Worker. Establishes goals to assist patients in dealing with unmet medical needs and identify problems. When needed, provides crisis intervention to patient and family with appropriate linkage to services. Empowers patients and families to discuss with their medical providers issues that may affect health and wellness.

Qualifications

Masters degree from an accredited school of social work or related field. New York State current and unrestricted license at a LMSW level. Candidate must have a minimum of five years’ experience in developing and implementing health promotion, disease prevention programs combines with education and a minimum of two years supervisory experience. Valid Driver’s license and the ability to drive a Seneca Nation vehicle. Excellent oral and written communication skills including public speaking. Highly organized, with the ability to develop organizational tools and track data. Excellent computer skills including word processing, email, internet, spreadsheet, and database usage.

Clinical Nurse RN (1 FT)

Job Description:
Provides professional care for assigned patients in medical clinic, according to established standards and practices. Reports directly to Clinical Nurse Supervisor.

Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse Program, current New York State license and 2 years of clinical nursing experience. REQUIRED ABILITIES: Able to perform required duties with limited supervision. Appropriate communication skills.
